This Design-Build project required demolition and replacement of DDC network modems across more than 20 occupied buildings while maintaining the existing copper communications infrastructure. The scope included replacement of network devices, a new primary DDC network modem rack, SNMP management, and Ethernet switching systems located in the Dam Neck Annex Communications Building.
Vansant & Gusler served as the lead mechanical and electrical engineering designer, developing solutions that preserved system operability during construction and ensured compatibility with the existing base-wide infrastructure. Their experience with complex control systems in occupied facilities enabled seamless execution with minimal disruption.
