This Design-Build project required demolition of an existing distributed 400 Hz aircraft power system and installation of thirteen (13) new standalone solid-state 400 Hz power converters throughout Hangar 111’s high-bay F/A-18 work centers. The work demanded precise coordination between architectural, electrical, and structural systems within an active aviation maintenance environment.
Dills Architects served as the Designer of Record, leading all architectural coordination and subcontracting specialized engineering disciplines to deliver a cohesive, turnkey design package. Their leadership ensured constructability, safety, and operational continuity throughout the project.
